It is important to master the fundamentals so that you can build upon that foundation to become a great player. Now that Madden 24 is out lets get to know the controls to be able to compete well.
The lateral/pitch is not used all too often in the regular head to head modes, but is a huge addition to your arsenal of weapons in Superstar Showdown. In superstar mode you can set up your teammates for easy yards that will catch the defenders off guard. In Showdown mode, lateraling before a touch down adds one extra point, so it’s a great way to get ahead of your opponent.

To lateral/pitch while you have the ball as the runner simply press LB or L1. Make sure to practice it plenty so that you can you use it in game.
